The Continence Aids Payment Scheme (CAPS) is an Australian Government payment that helps eligible people with the costs of managing incontinence. For 2026–27 the payment is $739.40 a year, paid straight into your bank account (in July, or split July and January).
To be eligible you need permanent and severe incontinence caused by an eligible neurological or other condition, be aged 5 or older, and be an Australian citizen. Your doctor or health professional completes part of the application, and you can apply through your Medicare account in myGov.
The government describes CAPS as a payment toward continence products. We can talk you through it at your consultation, but we can’t confirm your eligibility or how you use the payment. Check with your GP or the CAPS team (Services Australia).

“I can’t believe how much difference the Emsella made to my muscle strength. A very un-invasive process with great results. Lisa explained everything really well, and I would recommend to anybody looking to improve muscle tone.”
Vicki C.Emsella“The best decision I ever made postpartum! I was unable to walk very far without needing to use the restroom. I had a total of 6 sessions on the EmSella Chair. The difference is incredible! I no longer need to plan my walking route around where toilets are located. Lisa is so kind and will make you feel at ease during the entire process.”
Daniela R.Emsella“Never thought id be reviewing my pelvic floor journey but here we are haha. The EmSella treatment is literally just sitting in a chair for 30 mins, super easy. After 6 sessions I can actually sneeze without panic and went trampolining with my kids last week which wouldve been a disaster before. Lisa made me feel so comfortable and had zero judgment. Wish id done this sooner instead of just accepting it as my new normal!”
Amy R.EmsellaYes. Emsella is the HIFEM pelvic floor chair made by BTL. People search for it as the pelvic floor chair, Kegel chair, incontinence chair or pelvic chair. See how it compares with other pelvic floor chairs.
Emsella strengthens the pelvic floor muscles that support bladder control. It’s commonly used for stress incontinence (leaks when you cough, laugh, sneeze or exercise) and mixed incontinence. We’ll talk through your symptoms at your free consultation.
If you have permanent and severe incontinence caused by an eligible condition, you may qualify for the Continence Aids Payment Scheme (CAPS), $739.40 a year in 2026–27. Talk to your GP about eligibility.
EmSella is a non-invasive treatment that uses high-intensity electromagnetic energy to activate the pelvic floor muscles. It helps improve bladder control, core strength, and intimate well-being.
While Kegels focus on surface-level muscles, EmSella targets deeper layers of the pelvic floor. This leads to more effective and consistent results without relying on technique or repetition.
We recommend wearing loose-fitting, comfortable clothing without any metal, including buttons, zippers, or studs. Metal can interfere with the HIFEM technology and may damage the soft seat of the Emsella chair. Avoid tight-fitting clothing like activewear, as it can affect proper positioning during the session.
The treatment itself is non-invasive and generally well-tolerated. Most clients experience a tingling sensation or muscle contractions, but it is not considered painful. You remain fully clothed and seated throughout, with no downtime required afterward.
Each session takes about 28 minutes. A standard treatment plan includes six sessions over three weeks. Some people notice changes within a few sessions, with full results developing over several weeks.
EmSella is for anyone looking to restore pelvic floor strength and improve daily function. Whether you're navigating changes after childbirth, aging, or surgery, or simply want to feel more confident in your body, EmSella offers a safe, non-invasive solution.

You may feel small changes as early as your second or third session. However, the best and longest-lasting results are usually seen after finishing the full course of 6 sessions, with continued progress in the weeks that follow.
There’s no downtime. You can return to your usual activities immediately after your session. Some clients report mild muscle fatigue in the pelvic area, which is a normal and temporary effect.
